Lentils with chorizo: 3 different recipes

  • 700 grams of cooked lentils

  • 4 cloves of garlic

Preparation methods

  • Chop the onions and garlic. Peel the tomatoes and cut them into cubes. The chorizos are also cut into slices.
  • In a pot add a splash of oil and fry the onions and garlic.
  • When they are golden, add the chorizos and fry them for 15 minutes.
  • Add the diced tomato and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.
  • Add the white wine and let it reduce.
  • Add the lentils (previously cooked) and cook everything together for about 10 minutes.

  • 3 medium carrots

  • Peel and cut the tomato into cubes. The garlic and onions are finely chopped, while the carrots are peeled and diced.
  • In a blender, we crush the tomatoes and garlic together with a glass of chicken broth. We booked.
  • In a pot, fry the chorizo ​​for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the fat that has been released and add the carrots and onions. Sauté for 5 minutes.
  • Let’s pour the tomato sauce that we had reserved and cook everything together for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the lentils, previously washed, a glass of water and 4 glasses of chicken broth. Bring to a boil and lower the heat.
  • Add the thyme and bay leaf. Cook over low heat for 40 minutes.

  • Sauté for 10 minutes and add the tomato. Remove and let cook for a couple of minutes.
  • Add the chorizo, blood sausage, bacon and ham bone. We fry for two minutes.
  • Add the carrot (if you want, you can also add potato), season with salt and pepper. Let cook 2 minutes.
  • Add the lentils, previously washed, and cover with cold water.
  • When they start to boil, defoam.
  • Let cook for 30 minutes over medium heat and then lower it so that they finish simmering.

Preparation time: 90 minutes
